Help is needed for various tasks including: switching storms and screens, washing glass, gardening, painting and just getting organized. There’s plenty to do inside if it rains – outside tasks would be rescheduled. Meet in the Jin Room to choose an assignment.

Beginning Genealogy Course:
How to Build Your Family History and Share Your Ancestors’ Stories
Sunday, May 18, 9:15-10:45am. Meet in South Hall.
During February, we celebrated Black History Month with a remarkable program about our family’s origin stories, along with a wonderful talk by Dr. Regennia Williams on preserving our oral history and how important it is to share that with our descendants.
In an effort to explore this further and to learn how to research our ancestors, we will be conducting a series of beginning genealogy classes. This is the first step to gaining knowledge about their lives and then passing their stories on to the next generation.

…we are committed to finding ways to carry out this Bible chapter’s six directives for meeting human needs. One familiar example – “I was hungry, and you gave me food” – is currently addressed, in part, with our large Abundant Food Pantry distribution every Tuesday.
